Time to monitor. Space to recover.

Sometimes a patient needs a period of monitoring and reassessment before the next step in care is clear. Our short-term observation service provides space for the clinical team to follow a patient’s condition and review their needs.

Observation is arranged when the team determines it is appropriate. Admission, monitoring, length of stay and the decision to discharge or transfer depend on each patient’s condition. The team will discuss the care plan and any changes with the patient and, where appropriate, their family or caregiver.
